Thermal chamber performance tester
Problem
A commercial-grade thermal insulation testing solution was required for production batches of industrial containers. The current solution only allowed for single-piece flow, not meeting production demands.
Solution
Novum designed and developed a turn-key automated data acquisition & analysis system for performing an end-of-line performance testing program on seven production units, simultaneously.
Designed and wired an electrical control panel for acquiring precision voltage and current measurements using National Instruments’ CompactDAQ chassis and C Series modules
Custom LabVIEW software utilized Delacor Queued Message Handler (DQMH) architecture for quickly developing and testing hardware and software modules
Test software allowed for real-time data monitoring & analysis of up to seven simultaneous tests
Post-processing of data was fully automated, reducing potential for operator error and overall data processing time
